Unlock the Secret to Scaling Your Book Sales

Unlock the Secret to Scaling Your Book Sales

Dear Reader,

I’m often asked: “Why are you so passionate about selling books in larger quantities?”

There are three main reasons. 1) Selling one book at a time takes effort, but selling 25, 50, or even 100 often takes the same effort, with exponentially greater results.

2) When groups of people read the same book, something powerful happens. Messages spread faster. Cultures shift. And your words create more impact in boardrooms, teams, and communities.

And 3) sure, Amazon is easy, but it’s crowded. With over 28 million titles (plus everything from coffee to kitchen sinks), your message can get lost.

So let’s think differently.

Why Authors Should Embrace Bulk Book Sales

More money, less hassle

Selling in bulk directly to clients means fewer returns and higher margins (without middlemen eating into your earnings).

Books make meaningful gifts

Companies love giving books to employees and clients, especially ones that inspire, educate, or align with their mission.

You look like a pro

Offering discounted bulk copies when you speak or consult positions you as the expert. It also makes it easy for companies to say yes.

If You’re an Author . . .

Consider offering your book at a 20–30% discount for bulk orders of 25 copies or more.

Sweet spot pricing: $10–$35 per copy, depending on your retail price.

And don’t forget that books used for education or marketing may be tax-deductible, which is perfect for end-of-year planning.

If You’re a Business Owner . . .

Not an author (yet)? You can still use books to lead and inspire.

Think about which book you could share to spark conversations, shift mindsets, or simply make someone feel valued.

One of our clients mails out 20 books each month (a mix of his own and other favorite titles) to people he wants to work with. After 15 years, he says it’s still the best way to connect, and his business is thriving.

Books are trust builders, not just products. Let us help you use them wisely this season!

Wishing you a joyful December,

Maryanna and your team at Aloha Publishing
