A 10-Minute Book Marketing Task You Can Do Today!

Back-to-School =
Back-to-Book Sales?

Hi Reader,

Back-to-school season isn’t just for students and teachers. It’s also a golden marketing opportunity for authors! And it’s right around the corner…

Many authors forget to consider how their book could be used in a classroom setting. But right now, teachers, professors, and instructors are planning lessons, writing syllabi, and looking for fresh materials for their classrooms. This is your chance to position your book as a resource they can use.

Here’s a 10-minute book marketing task for you to tackle this week:

  1. Spend a few minutes thinking about how your book could add value in a classroom setting.
    • Have you written a business or leadership book? Communication professors or MBA programs might find it perfect for their curriculum.
    • Written a children’s book about animals? Elementary school teachers or librarians may want to pick it up as part of nature or animal units for classroom readings.
  2. Write a quick social post (or email to your list) sharing this idea:
    • “As teachers get ready for the school year, I’d love to share how [Your Book] could be a fun and educational addition to your classroom! [Explain the value Your Book could bring.]
    • Link directly to your book and/or invite teachers to reach out for more info.

That’s it. Ten minutes of effort to frame your book in a new way just in time for back-to-school.

Give it a try this week. Your future readers (and their students!) will thank you.

You’ve got this!

But every 18 to 24 months, the company would go through what...

Leadership Uncomplicated by Bryan Banta

Meet Bryan Banta and the Heart Behind Leadership Uncomplicated Aloha Reader, We are excited to share with you the story of one of our new authors, Bryan Banta. When Bryan walked out of FBI headquarters in a dark suit after graduation from the Academy, he thought he’d found his forever calling. He’d already spent years as an engineer at Cisco (a “technologist at heart,” as he says), but after 9/11, he felt pulled to serve. Counterterrorism. Counterintelligence. Cybercrime. The real thing. Then...

The Experience that Sparked Aloha Aloha Reader, Every great company begins with a story. Over the next few months, we’ll be sharing the journey that led to the birth of Aloha Publishing—a three-part series about our founder & CEO, Maryanna Young, and the lessons she's learned along the way. The first part of the story takes us back to the years before Aloha existed, when Maryanna worked as a sports agent representing Olympic and Paralympic athletes. These athletes longed to share their...
